Custom Screens specialise in various security products including security screens and security doors, roller shutters, window tinting, gates and security film. Our stainless steel mesh doors known as Invisi-Gard are made from the highest grade stainless steel available. The marine grade 316 stainless steel has been tested over time and is backed by a 10 year warranty against corrosion.
We have a large range of security doors for you to choose from but sometimes you need your own unique security doors. If you require us to make a customised security door, security window, gates, roller shutters or need your windows replaced to new aluminium windows, please call our office.
Screen Security Windows are a great way to provide a barrier when windows are left open without affecting the level of fresh air entering through the opening. Screen Security Windows can be made using either Invisi-Gard, Alu-Gard or grille products. Custom Screens range of security windows products manages to satisfy even the most demanding of householders.
Roller shutters protect against intruders. When fully closed, the standard roller shutter dual locking system makes it almost impossible to open from the outside. Strong interlocking construction resists objects being forced between slats. Offers a visible deterrent to would-be intruders and vandals. Roller shutters are approved by major home insurance groups.

Security door mesh myths 1: Galvanised mesh is heaps cheaper, lasts just as long and won't corrode as it is powder coated?
The only thing that is true about this claim is that it is cheaper. In testing in a salt spray booth for a 200 hour test the galvanised mesh becomes brown and rusted where Invisi-Gard stayed true to its colour and strength.

Security door mesh myths 2: Marine steel has a higher rust resistance than naked 304 when immersed in salt water?
The answer is that the 316 doesn't have to be immersed in salt water, it always has a higher resistance to corrosion than 304 and is in fact the main reason people choose it!

Security door mesh myths 3: The advantage of choosing 316 over lesser grades disappears when the lesser grade is powder coated as powder coating gives an impermeable coating?
The fact is all powder coating is porous and allows the ingress of pollutants and contaminants to the base material. Invisi-Gard not only is 316 marine grade but is powder coated as well as all other leading brands. Again like claim 1, the galvanised mesh turned brown under the salt spray test.

Security door mesh myths 4: The big advantage in 304 grade is its strength, higher strength and elongation factor than 316?
The grade difference is mainly due to the chemicals in the steels, not the mechanical properties. In fact the mesh used in Invisi-Guard has a pre-woven wire tensile strength some 100 megapascals higher than 304 material. Invisi-Gard mesh will withstand a deflection of 200mm without breaking, more than enough to cope with any security application.
