Contact United Scanning Services today to discuss how you can get peace of mind by utilising our service locating methods for your project. Our team has been locating services in Perth for over twenty years. We have a lot of experience in this field and a high regard for safety that we are proud of.

We Have Latest Technology

We are a team of professionally trained technicians in the use of 'Ground Penetrating Radar' and electromagnetic detection and we continue to upgrade our skills to stay at the forefront of the latest technology. We have been involved with many high profile projects in Western Australia including the Joondalup Health Campus Upgrade, Perth City Link, Burswood Casino, Fremantle Ports, Karratha Gas Plant Upgrade, and the Perth Convention Centre.

At The Forefront Of Ground Penetrating Radar Technologies

With our new GSSI handheld unit; we are providing a 3D imaging service that gives our clients accurate, non-invasive data on subsurface structures and services. It's exactly what structural engineers need. Using 3D scanning we can identify hidden features that might have been a safety hazard to personnel, or posed a risk of machinery or structural damage when drilling, cutting or coring.

Experienced structural assessors of concrete servicing Perth and surrounds.

FAQs

  • How will I receive your findings?

We carefully write our reports and focus on providing our clients with the critical information they need to make the important decisions. Using GPR for the non-destructive testing of concrete is safe and quick. We use the latest equipment available to the Western Australian market to clearly see each of the items on our screen as we scan. We can also save these images as a PDF to be included in our report.

  • What are the benefits of GPR?

We use GPR to do a structural assessment of concrete because it can provide us with information that you wouldn't be able to see with the naked eye. We can see honeycombing, voids or crack below the surface of the concrete which would otherwise be unknown. At United Scanning Services; we can take core samples and crush test them at a NATA accredited lab and provide you with the relevant information on a certificate.

  • How does 3D concrete scanning work?

3D concrete scanning generates a three-dimensional representation that can be used for structural analysis of concrete structures. We can assess the state of the reinforcement bars, establish precise locations of post tension cables, map relative concrete condition, expose internal defects such as voids & fractures and verify the depth from the surface and/ or the bottom of the slab.

  • What formats can I receive my results in and how trained are your personnel?

We can scan for services underground and deliver the results in both 2D and 3D formats, depending on our client's requirements. Our personnel are well trained in the difficulties of utility locating including the absence of service plan, untraceable utilities, congested easements and more.

  • How do you keep at the forefront of scanning technologies?

Whether it is to assess the strength of a slab for a greater load in Perth city or assessing the impact of holes drilled for cathodic protection on the Perth Narrows Bridge; we have been providing critical information for people to make important decisions. You are relying on the information we provide, so at United Scanning Services we use GPR to make a structural assessment of concrete. We also carefully train all our technicians and keep up with the latest developments in our industry.
